George Bell was born about 1762. His father was Walter Bell.
George Bell Esq., Gentleman, of Bellevue, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland, claimed descent from Edward " the Elder" Bell through Sir Robert Bell, of Lyme Regis, Speaker of the House of Commons (appointed 8 May 1572) and Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer who died on circuit at Leominster, Herefordshire, England, on 25 Jul 1577.
He married Catherine Nugent. They had 10 children; Henry Frederick Nugent Bell, George Bell, Thomas Bell, Martha Bell, William Bell, Mary Jane Bell, Charlotte Bell, Catherine Bell, Alexander Charlton Bell, and Edmund Bell.
George became a widower when Catherine died on 11 September 1824.
George died of a "paralytic attack" on 11 February 1827 in County Fermanagh, Ireland aged 65 years. The Enniskillen Chronicle noted on Thursday, 15 Feb, that George Bell, Esq. of Bellview, near Enniskillen, had died on Sunday, and that he was an indulgent parent, a kind relation and a "most facetious companion, and is greatly regretted" by all who knew him.
He was buried on 13 February 1827 in Old Rossorry Graveyard, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland.
